The mystery continues around a brutal takedown ad appeared in the Mackay and Whitsunday Life newspaper last week.

‘Steve’ was labelled a ‘filthy cheater’ by ‘Jenny’ in a full-page ad that’s left everyone wondering whether a true lover’s spat has made it to print or if it’s simply a clever marketing tactic.

“Dear Steve, I hope you’re happy with her. Now the whole town will know what a filthy cheater you are. From Jenny. PS. I bought this ad using your credit card,” the ad read.

After having the weekend to consider their responses, Laurel, Gary & Mark have played a little ‘Headline Hotline’ to see where their listeners stand.
