The survivors of last week’s helicopter tragedy on the Gold Coast have grounds to seek compensation, a legal expert says. 

Professor Rick Sarre from the University of South Australia told Bill McDonald any potential legal action will depend on the circumstances of the crash.

“If it appears that the procedures that would have been in place in relation to helicopters taking off and landing were not being abided and negligence has occurred, … then quite clearly, the Sea World helicopter operators will be sued.
