Grocery shopper vents over ‘filthy’ act at New Farm store

Bill McDonald

A shopper has unloaded on social media after spotting a dog being wheeled around Coles in New Farm in one of the store’s trolleys.

In a post to a New Farm community Facebook group which has since been removed, the man claimed the pet was not an assistance dog.

“Fairly sure this contravenes Coles official policy on animals in stores,” he wrote. “I often put my fresh fruit and vegetables in the trolley to avoid using single-use plastics.

“Now I can’t be sure that they aren’t being contaminated by the filthy habits of some shoppers. Completely unacceptable.”

Bill McDonald said while he can tolerate pets being brought to Bunnings, this takes things to “another level of ridiculous”.
