Mollie O’Callaghan has become the youngest women’s 100 metre freestyle world champion in more than 30 years.

The 18-year-old Queenslander has claimed gold at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest, on a memorable night for Australia.

Zac Stubblety-Cook won gold in the men’s 200 metre breast stroke.

“Well done to those to Queenslanders … now the Commonwealth Games in a month will be an absolute beauty!” Neil Breen said.
