Alarming stats show Queensland hospital patients are doing it tough when it comes to waiting times in emergency departments.

61% of patients with life threating conditions are waiting longer than the recommended 10 minutes.

Queensland Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington says, “the figures are alarming”.

“Queenslanders deserve a world-class health system. It’s as simple as that.”

Ms Frecklington tells Steve Price 35% of patients are also stuck waiting in ambulances because of ambulance ramping across the Queensland health system.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk is blaming the patients. We can’t be saying that.

“Labor has no clue when it comes to managing health systems.”
