A huge fire has broken out at a property in the Gold Coast hinterland.

A living quarters structure located near the a home in Mount Tambourine has burned down and the main property is still under threat from the fire.

There are still 12 fire trucks on the scene.

The RSPCA has also attended, all animals on the property are accounted for.
