Find your Italian flair at Salt Meats Cheese

Aussies love good Italian fair, and family run Salt Meats Cheese is taking the east coast by storm.

Edoardo Perlo is part-owner of the retail-turned-restaurant chain Salt Meats Cheese.

“We started as importers, so we wanted to bring different produce to Australia.”

Edoardo tells Chris Smith the move into restaurants “was just a natural evolution of the concept”.

“We wanted to have people who could have food next to the fresh produce.”

And much like all Italian grandparents, Edoardo’s nonna wants him home.

“Doesn’t matter how many restaurants I’m opening, [she says] come back, your room is always there!”
