Federal politicians are attending the traditional church service in Canberra to mark the start of a new term of parliament.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton are among those attending the mass.
Later today, the Governor-General will open the 47th Parliament, with Labor moving to the government benches for the first time in almost a decade.
