Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has delivered his budget reply speech on Tuesday night, making a surprise pledge on behalf of the Coalition.

Mr Dutton told Parliament that a Coalition government would move to ban sports betting ads during match broadcasts, as well as an hour either side of those games.

As part of the speech, Mr Dutton also called for the amount of money someone on JobSeeker can earn to be doubled to $300, before their payment is impacted.

He also criticised the Albanese Government, saying “In the last 12 months, this Government has broken 12 promises to the Australian people”.
