Federal MP slams rapid test shortage as a ‘disgrace’
Federal Labor MP Milton Dick says it’s a “disgrace” that Australians do not have access to rapid antigen test kits.
The Oxley MP said residents in his area he’d been speaking to were feeling “let down and fearful”.
“You can really feel it out in the community, that lack of support and a big, what I would use this word starting off this year, a big disappointment in Scott Morrison and the government,” he told Scott Emerson.
“They really feel let down, that this is not a government that’s prepared and able to look after its citizens.”
He said rapid tests should be made available.
“Instead of us having a debate over the cost of this, we should be pressuring the government into delivering.
“Why don’t we have these kits available?”
He said it’s a “disgrace” Australia was so unprepared and rapid test kits were so scarce.
