A man has died from injuries he suffered in a violent, fiery attack by his ex-partner at Logan yesterday.

Stanley Obi was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical burns but died at 10pm.

A 30-year-old woman and three children were able to escape the blaze with no serious injuries.

Deputy Commissioner Tracy Linford yesterday said there was a “custody matter” in court this week before this morning’s fatal fire.

Asked about whether it was a family violence incident, she said that would form part of the investigation.
