Farewell Roy: A fitting send-off for Andrew Symonds in Townsville

Family, friends and cricketing royalty have gathered in Townsville to farewell former Australian test cricketer Andrew Symonds.
The 46-year-old died in a car crash earlier this month.
Among those who paid tribute were Ian Healy, Adam Gilchrist and Ricky Ponting.
There was a private and public service.
“He had friends in rugby league, he has fishing mates, and crabbing mates up this way in north Queensland,” Nine News reporter Reece D’Alessandro said on 4BC Drive.
“He touched the lives of so many, many of them still coming to terms with the shock of his passing a couple of weeks ago.”
He said while it was sorrowful, there was also plenty of laughs too.
Former coach Darren Lehmann said he was the “best player I ever coached”.
Healy described him as “supremely talented, a very hard-worker”.
