EXCLUSIVE | Another prison guard accused of sexual relationship with inmate
Corrective Services NSW is investigating claims a male prison guard had a sexual relationship with a female inmate at Kempsey jail.
The guard was allegedly caught performing oral sex on an inmate in her cell at Mid North Coast Correctional Centre in August last year.
But the incident wasn’t reported until two months later, due to fear of reprisal.
A former inmate contacted Ray Hadley to reveal the alleged incident, which reportedly happened just a month after Kempsey prison officer Amy Connors tried to resign due to her relationship with cop killer Sione Penisine.
Corrective Service NSW have confirmed they are investigating the claim (full statement below).
Officers found to be in an inappropriate relationship with an inmate can now be charged under new laws introduced last year.
