Eels legend pays tribute to loyal fans, despite decades-long premiership drought

Parramatta legend Peter Wynn has paid tribute to Eels fans who have remained loyal and steadfast over the years.
The three-time premiership player said the fans have remained loyal, despite a premiership drought of 36 years.
“With that big void from 1986 to now the fact that we haven’t won a competition in that time, the fans have stuck loyal,” he told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports.
“I have never really known a Parramatta fan to bag their team in any way at all, they are always anticipating and always hoping the Eels will be a successful team once the season starts.”
He said he saw a bit of an x-factor in his beloved Eels last week against the Cowboys, and he’s hopeful they can tap into it again this weekend.
