A dramatic chase on the state border has come to an end, with police deploying tyre spikes to stop a car allegedly stolen by three young males.

Police in northern New South Wales were alerted by authorities in Queensland after officers tried to pull them over.

The road spikes were then deployed along the M1 in the Tweed Shire.

The males, aged 27, 17 and 16 have been arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station, where they’re currently being questioned.
