Knife-wielding man shuts down major Brisbane tunnel

Police have arrested a man who caused traffic chaos today after he allegedly brandished a knife in one of Brisbane’s busiest tunnels.
Commuters faced long delays after the man jumped onto the roof of the Clem 7 tunnel just before 7am.
At one stage the man had reportedly moved off the roof and into the tunnel.
Police closed the entrance and exit to the tunnel on Shaftston Avenue at Kangaroo Point, and asked drivers to find an alternate route.
The incident went on for several hours before police arrested the man just before 2pm.
UPDATE: Police have taken a male into custody who was standing on top of the Clem 7 tunnel today. Police are trying to rectify the traffic flow through the tunnel.
