Desperate Australians are reportedly taking a gamble and jumping the hotel quarantine queue without border passes. 

Nine News reporter Tim Arvier told Neil Breen numerous people are catching the last flight out of hotspots and into Queensland each day.

“They know if they get that last flight, then authorities can’t turn them around again and send them back on the next flight.

“These are people that are very desperate and they’re rolling the dice.”
