Crosswords better than ‘brain games’ to help improve memory loss, new study finds

Crossword puzzles have an advantage over online “brain games” in improving memory and slowing cognitive decline, a new study has found.

A study by Columbia University and Duke University investigated how crossword puzzles compared to modern online games, developed specifically to improve cognitive function.

“What the study found, [it was the] crossword that was fantastic and had an impact on mild cognitive impairment,” Alex Senter from The Big Smoke explained.
