Crisafulli Government hands down first LNP state budget promising Queenslanders a ‘fresh start’

The LNP Queensland government has handed down their first state budget in ten years.
Treasurer David Janetzki’s says his first budget will lay the foundation for a “fresh start.”
“When the people of Queensland changed the government last October, they voted for a fresh start. They voted for a fresh start in the way in which the government approaches the budget,” he said.
Janetski’s address was also met with laughter when he told the Queensland Parliament his budget would meet the Crisafulli government’s election promises.
Earlier today, the Crisafulli government announced a Boost to Buy scheme, aimed at helping first-home buyers by reducing the deposit needed.
Queensland Police will also be given $147.9 million to equip officers with state-of-the-art equipment.
