An Australia Zoo patron has taken to social media after being stung an “extortionate price” for a double cheeseburger. 

A photo of the meal in question was posted to Reddit by user Simke11, with the caption: “This is what passes as $17 double cheese burger at Australia Zoo”.

“I don’t know how they call it a cheeseburger,” Bill McDonald said. “For $17! Gee, no wonder people are struggling these days, having to pay $17 for a bun with a couple bits of meat in it.

“Apparently, also up there, you’ll get slugged up to $5.50 for a bottle of water!”
