Christian college backflips on controversial contract

A controversial enrolment contract has been scrapped by Citipointe Christian College.
The college at Carindale sparked public outrage this week after the principal issued an enrolment contract, that was labelled “distressing” and “anti-gay” requiring families to sign or risk being excluded from the school.
In a statement, Principal Brian Mulheran says he deeply regrets some students feel they would have been discriminated against because of their sexuality or gender identity.
He says by withdrawing the contract he hopes the focus can return to the Christian education of students as the new school year begins.
