A child, believed to be in his early teens, has been struck by a car on Deception Bay Road in Rothwell.

Paramedics were called to the “low-speed vehicle-into-pedestrian incident” at around 3:40pm.

The boy, believed to be in his early teens, suffered cuts and has been transported conscious and breathing to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

There are roads blocked in the area.
