A child is fighting for life after a serious traffic incident in Burpengary this afternoon.

Paramedics were called just before 3pm.

The child, a pedestrian, was taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital with head injuries.

Police say Rowley and Kurrajong streets are blocked, avoid the area.
