Broncos’ finals hopes ‘out of their hands’ after conceding 113 points in a fortnight

Peter Fegan

The Broncos are on the verge of dropping out of the top eight after being thrashed by the Eels at Suncorp Stadium last night.

Parramatta belted Brisbane with a 53 to 6 finish, meaning the Broncos have conceded a whopping 113 points in their last two matches.

Wide World of Sports host Peter Psaltis told Laurel, Gary & Mark it’s evident coach Kevin Walters is struggling to turn a streak of shocking performances around.

“After the game last night, we couldn’t believe, we saw Kevin Walters just berating the team,” he said.

“It shows to me he’s at a loss as to why things have gone so pear-shaped for Brisbane at this stage of the season.

“There must be something at the club that is just not right at the moment because the attitude of the players doesn’t seem to be there.”
