Nearly three million people are expected to pass through Brisbane Airport over the holiday season as travel demand takes off again.

Travellers are warned to expect extra delays, with lines to blow out over the next three months

9News reporter Andrea Crothers told Laurel, Gary & Mark more than 25,000 travellers are expected in the airport every day, and up to 55,000 on peak days.

“That’s actually back to pre-pandemic levels if you think about domestic travel,” she said.

“In terms of international travel, that still has a way to go. That’s sitting at about 60 per cent of what it was pre-pandemic.”
