The statewide search is on to find the next generation of sporting champions across the Sunshine State.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk today unveiled the You for 2032 program, in partnership with the Queensland Academy of Sport.

There will be 11 super coaches cast their gaze across the state from April 12 to find hidden sporting gems and develop them into champions using a new $10 million state-of-the-art gym and sports science lab.

Queensland Academy of Sport CEO, Chelsea Warr, said the academy has their sights set firmly on 2032 and how they can unearth the next generation of Olympic and Paralympic champions.

“We are casting the net as far and wide as we possibly can across the state, it will be the most intensive and most sophisticated talent search that we will do right across the state to try and unearth as many inspiring young athletes who want to see how good they can be, to come forward and be tested and to give us an opportunity and platform to get onto the 2022 runway.”

They’ll be looking for select sports and codes.
