Brisbane Airport has today experienced its busiest day since before the start of the pandemic, with 65,000 passengers passing through the domestic and international terminals.

Despite the record numbers, airport staff say the terminals have been calm, with travellers heeding warnings and arriving early.

More people are expected over the coming days, ahead of the State of Origin decider, which is being played in Brisbane on Wednesday night.
