Police have located a baby who was separated from their parents in a car stolen on the Gold Coast this afternoon.

The 5-month-old was strapped into the rear child seat of a white Mazda 3 when it was stolen from the garage of a Stringybark Drive address at 4.25pm.

UPDATE: The vehicle and baby reported missing from the Molendinar area have been located.

The baby is safe and well.
