Bolt denies ‘secret conspiracy’ to undermine Malcolm Turnbull

Article image for Bolt denies ‘secret conspiracy’ to undermine Malcolm Turnbull

Andrew Bolt tells Ray Hadley that Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is “pulling strings behind the scenes like Julia Gillard”.

“[The PM] complains to my bosses that I’m part of a conspiracy to undermine him. There’s no secret conspiracy. I’ve told the world he should go. I wrote a whole column on the subject!”

Following Labor’s bad week in politics with Senator Katy Gallagher exposed as a dual citizen at the time of the election and Sam Dastyari’s China scandal, the coalition has received a bump in the polls.

But Bolt says Turnbull’s boost in popularity won’t last.

“He’s got a limited attention span.”

“He doesn’t pursue an advantage like he should.”
