Biden’s power on the ballot as Democrats, GOP race for Congress control

Americans are lining up at the ballot box for midterm elections that will decide whether President Joe Biden can carry his agenda through the next two years.
The race will decide who controls the House and the Senate, which the Democratic Party holds by a slim majority.
The Republicans need a net gain of just one to hold the balance of power in the Senate and five in the House.
Holding just one of the chambers would put the GOP in a position to kill Biden’s domestic legislative agenda.
US correspondent Jonathan Kearsley told 4BC Breakfast while Republicans have gone into Election Day with some momentum, the abortion issue could trip them up.
“This is a very divisive issue right across America,” he said. “The Democrats have been saying that is on the ballot, they say democracy is on the ballot at these elections.”
