Back to school plan: Staff, students get ready for return to the classroom

High school students will have to wear face masks, as part of Queensland’s back to school plan.
Masks can be removed once they’re seated, and teachers don’t have to wear them while teaching.
Students from Year 3 upwards will also be encouraged to wear face masks, when school resumes next week.
Year 11 and 12 students will begin a week of remote learning today before joining all other year levels back in the classroom next Monday.
Masks will mandatory for all staff and students at high schools and highly encouraged for primary school students in Year three and above.
Rapid antigen tests will be available to students and staff who develop symptoms at school.
All camps, excursions, assemblies, and large gatherings have been suspended and there will be limits on visitors to school sites.
The plan is in place until March 4.
