Australia’s domestic airlines are falling short

Gary Hardgrave

Australia’s domestic airlines are failing to provide proper service for passengers.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has released a report finding that Australian domestic airlines are characterised by a severe lack of competition.

In April, four per cent of flights were cancelled, and nearly 30 per cent were late.

As a result of these figures, the ACCC is calling on the Federal Government to launch an independent agency to monitor all the airlines.
