Australians are urged to leave Ukraine immediately due to the increasing risk of armed conflict.

Tensions have been growing at the country’s border, where Russia is amassing forces.

NATO is deploying additional forces to Ukraine in response to the military build-up.

The US has now put forces on standby for possible deployment.
