Renée Geyer has died at the age of 69. 

The popular Australian singer suffered complications following hip surgery.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Laurel, Gary & Mark that while Geyer was in hospital, it was discovered she also had inoperable lung cancer.

Geyer was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005 and was the first woman inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame.
