Australian kids gain another COVID-19 vaccine option in world first move
Australia will become the first country in the world to roll out Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine to young children.
The jab has been given the green light for use in children aged six to 11.
Kids will receive the same formula and dosage as Moderna’s booster shot, which is already being offered to over-18s at GPs, pharmacies and state-run clinics.
The rollout will begin tomorrow and will be administered in two doses, at least three weeks apart.
