Aussie farmers teaching people in China to cook beef

Natalie Peters and Erin Molan

Two Aussie farmers have found success in creating videos that teach people in China how to cook Australian beef.

Rhys Williamson hosts the segment from a park in Western Australia and explains the different ways meat can be cooked outdoors.

One video posted to a Chinese social media website received 1.5 million views and 160,000 likes.

Rhys and his brother James come from generations of cattle farmers and aim to sell Australian beef direct to Chinese consumers through online marketing.

James tells Steve Price they had been doing business with China for a while before spending some time living there.

“Rhys is obviously talking in mandarin which adds another flavour to it which is definitely well received.”
