Attorney-General hits out at opposition over laptop report

Attorney-General Shannon Fentiman has hit out at the state opposition following an investigation into the removal of laptops from the office of the integrity commissioner.
A report handed down by the state’s corruption watchdog yesterday found the removal of laptops was “entirely ordinary” and a routine collection of hardware by IT officers, as part of their duties.
The Crime and Corruption Commission report found the “description of ‘raid’ and ‘seizure’ did not reflect the reality of what occurred”.
Ms Fentiman said LNP leader David Crisafulli “fear-mongered” before the report and investigation was handed down.
“The CCC found without a doubt there was no raid, no laptop seized, nothing out of the ordinary wiped,” she told Spencer Howson filling in on 4BC Breakfast.
“For the LNP, who stood up everyday and used these very terms to say that this report has more questions than answers, I think that’s what you say when you are caught out in a lie.”
She said it “put to bed the LNP’s claim that there is some integrity inferno”.
