NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has taken aim at the “unacceptable” behaviour from a minority of fans, after the opening night of Magic Round in Brisbane last night was marred by a wild brawl.

The violent brawl saw several fans involved in the incident, before eventually being ejected, after police and security intervened.

Abdo told The Continuous Call Team the NRL will be taking action.

“It’s just so disappointing,” Abdo said.

“The behaviour is completely unacceptable and it won’t be tolerated.

“We’ve been working this morning with stadium security and with police.

“We want to take the strongest possible action that we can to deal with these individuals.”

Earlier this season, a fight occurred following a man’s disrespectful behaviour during a minute silence to commemorate the Anzacs at the same venue.
