Alleged murderers, rapists and paedophiles could come to Australia, says Peter Dutton

At least three-hundred asylum seekers are facing easier access to medical treatment in Australia, following changes to border policy.

The medivac bill includes a national security clause that would prevent asylum seekers with a serious criminal history from coming to Australia.

But it doesn’t stop those with criminal allegations from being brought here.

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton tells Ray Hadley the legislation will put Australia at risk.

“Allowing people to come into our country who have serious allegations of sexual assault or being involved in sexual relationships with young girls…

“One person has been accused of murder, out of Iran.

“Under the Labor Party bill, or now law, we cannot stop that person from coming in.”
