Dean & Sofie

Actress Cate Blanchett is hoping for a third Oscar after she was nominated for her commanding performance in Tár.

Blanchett joins an exclusive list of Hollywood legends to have been nominated for an Academy Award eight times.

Meanwhile, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis picked up eight nominations, including in the Best Picture category.

4BC entertainment reporter Mike Gambaro ran Laurel, Gary & Mark through the nominations and who he thinks will take the awards home on March 13.

Laurel Edwards: “You’ve highlighted Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Mike Gambaro: Everything Everywhere All at Once kind of came out of nowhere. It’s this weird multiverse movie that got released about midway through last year.

“I think this is going to be the movie that wipes out the Oscars this year. It’s got 11 nominations.”
