Albanese Government: Michael Pachi explains Labor Party legislations

Martin Ollman

Neil Breen and 4BC Political Editor Michael Pachi discuss the Albanese Government’s housing plan, safeguard mechanism and the Indigenous Voice referendum.

Australians will have their say in a referendum to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Constitution through an an independent, representative advisory body.

“This week is what is called the referendum mechanism bill, which is what allows you to hold a referendum, which we are expecting in either October or November,” Michael explains.

“Next week Labor is going to have to detail what the question will be.”
