Airline ditches ‘ladies and gentlemen’ for gender-neutral greeting
A commercial airline is going to ditch “ladies and gentlemen” when greeting passengers on its aircraft and replace it with a more politically correct word.
Air Canada crew will use gender-neutral greetings such as “everybody” in an attempt to be inclusive.
NSW One Nation Leader Mark Latham tells Ben Fordham the decision could be disastrous.
“I think at the end of the day these airlines that go down this path, and other companies, they lose customers.
“People quite like the idea that if you’re a man, you can be called a gentleman, if you’re a woman you can be called a lady.
“People pay big money for these flights and I think they should be making a statement, ‘vote with your wings and fly with someone else.’”
