Adoption costs slashed for hundreds of rescue pets for Valentine’s Day

If you’re looking for plans this Valentine’s Day, there’s plenty of lonely hearts looking for someone to take them home.
From today, Animal Welfare League Queensland is running a special Valentine’s Day sale, reducing the adoption prices for its adult cats and some adult dogs.
AWLQ spokesperson Craig Montgomery told Sofie Formica there are currently 220 animals with the charity waiting for new homes, the majority of which are adults.
“It’s the perfect opportunity, if you know someone who’s looking for a furry companion, to adopt from us,” he said.
“It’s a huge saving and it’s really giving people an opportunity to open their hearts and homes to an animal in need.”
