Neil Breen and Luke Gallagher from NRMA discuss how Queenslander’s can protect themselves and their homes this bushfire season.

Australia is set to swing from three years of heavy rainfall to one of the hottest El Niño periods on record, and Luke Gallagher is warning Queenslanders to plan ahead.

“As we move into dryer periods there is the probability of bushfires,” Luke tells Neil.

“Tropical regions of Australia, including Queensland, can expect reduced rainfall and tropical cyclone activity.”

NRMA provides a service where a helicopter sprays biodegradable fire retardant across homes in preparation for bushfires.

“We are digital for speed but on the ground where our customers need,” says Luke.
