Paedophiles will no longer be able to hide their assets in superannuation funds under new laws.

A discussion paper for consultation outlines two complementary proposals that would provide for the release of an offender’s superannuation for the purpose of satisfying unpaid compensation orders.

Assistant Treasurer Stephen Jones told Ray Hadley these proposals will close a loophole that’s causing further harm to victims.

“[It’s an] important issue and it’s got to be closed now.”
