Queensland Cricketers’ Club has found a new mission.

The organisation through it’s Beyond the Boundary arm, has recently partnered with the Emmanuel City Mission, a not-for-profit organisation that helps homeless people in Brisbane.

CEO Lachlan Furnell joined Sofie Formica to talk more about their plan to give back to the community.

He says it feels wonderful to be able to help.

Around 100 homeless men and women seek help at the mission each day.

“Through our connections we now deliver 215 litres of milk every week, three times a week,” he told Sofie.

“That helps them with their morning breakfast, coffees throughout the day.

“We also spoke about the meals they serve throughout the day … what they really required was some sauce based mixes … and then they can add proteins and vegetables.”
