Queensland Police describe ridiculous triple zero calls
How long do I cook a chicken for and what time is Blue Heelers on?
These are the calls Queensland Police receive on the triple zero line every day and it’s leaving those in trouble at risk.
Inspector Kim Kellaway from Queensland Police Community Contact Command Centre tells Ray Hadley a caller even rang the emergency line complaining about loud music on a train.
“It appears common sense isn’t too common,” she says.
Queensland Police are pleading for people to leave the triple zero number for emergencies.
“Unfortunately, a lot of people we believe aren’t aware of the non-urgent number to call for police.
“So this campaign is about… only calling triple zero for a true emergency.”
