Gosford Classic Car Museum sure to set records
The collector car market has been strong in recent years so tonight’s classic car auction at the Gosford Classic Car Museum will be interesting to watch – staged in conjunction with auction house Pickles the auction of around 60 classics is expected to attract worldwide attention. The Museum in Stockyard Place West Gosford houses around 450 cars and is shedding excess stock to make way for new exhibits. As I said last week the collector car scene seems to know no boundaries with the advent of programs like Chasing Classic Cars on Foxtel have one of the largest weekly audiences. Certainly there’s a chance to pick up a bargain or two tonight however traffic on the website Classiccar.pickles.com.au has been so strong in the lead up to the auction there may be some strong bidding – especially amongst the rarer models on offer. Top price tonight should be realized by the 1968 Lamborghini Muira Coupe – the first real mid-engined supercar launched in the 1960’s with only a handful in Australia. I’m David Berthyon
