‘The falling knife’ – Albanese government blamed for Australia’s housing crisis
2GB Afternoons host Michael McLaren has criticised the Albanese government over its changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax, blaming the reforms for Australia’s worsening housing market downturn.
He says the changes have contributed to falling house prices, rising rents and made it harder for Australians to invest in property.
“Pity those who were encouraged by the government to buy at the peak of a market they were about to smash,” McLaren said.
