Frontline child safety and youth justice workers across Queensland have walked off the job to protest stalled pay negotiations, extreme workloads, and severe staffing shortages.

Demonstrators brought air mattresses to government MP offices to highlight the tragic reality of vulnerable children sleeping in service centres due to a lack of safe placements.
